It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ogallala can now relate to. They fell 57-45 to the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals on Wednesday. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Doniphan-Trumbull was led to victory by Parker Volk and Jack Poppe. Volk shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards, while Poppe shot 44% from the field on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Poppe's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Ty Bennett was another key player, putting up ten points.

Ogallala's loss dropped their record down to 24-2. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Ogallala does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, they will challenge Concordia at 10:45 a.m. on Friday. Doniphan-Trumbull has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 174 points over their last three games.
