Basketball Recap: Kahlea Samples and Addyson Moore Secure Win for Mineral Wells

Mineral Wells posted their closest victory since January 19th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Henrietta Bearcats.

Leading Mineral Wells to victory were Addyson Moore and Kahlea Samples. Moore went 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points and four steals, while Samples went 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Mineral Wells' victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Henrietta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Mineral Wells didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-30 win against Gordon on the 27th. As for Henrietta, they will face off against Holliday at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henrietta is facing Holliday at the right time seeing as Holliday is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
