Basketball Recap: Louisburg Comes Up Short

Louisburg was the 77-50 winner over Tonganoxie when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Louisburg Wildcats took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tonganoxie Chieftains on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Louisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Tonganoxie, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-9-1 and their overall record up to 4-12-1.

Louisburg and Tonganoxie could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Louisburg (ranked 202nd) will meet Spring Hill (ranked 86th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tonganoxie will take on Baldwin at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th down 226 places (243 vs. 17).
