Meanwhile, Omaha Westside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 22-7 win over Omaha North. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won 14 contests in a row dating back to last season.
Omaha Westside relied on the efforts of Braylen Warren, who threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns, and Tay Tay Jenkins, who rushed for 144 yards.
Omaha Westside wouldn't let Omaha North keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Omaha Westside can thank Christian Jones and Ty Sidzyik for forcing both of them. Sidzyik also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles.
