Recap: Carolina Academy Trojans vs. Pendleton Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Carolina Academy Trojans, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a 65-46 bruising from Pendleton on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Carolina Academy has lost by exactly 19 points.
Pendleton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kory Jones, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Garon Blalock, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds.
The last time Carolina Academy won on the road was back on Tuesday. Having now lost four straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Pendleton, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Academy will take on Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Southside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday. As for Pendleton, they will be playing at home against Wren at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wren presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pendleton in South Carolina (Wren is ranked 93rd, while Pendleton is ranked 201st).
