Softball Recap: Maiden Has No Trouble Against Pine Lake Prep

Maiden owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Pine Lake Prep Pride. The contest marked the Blue Devils' most dominant win of the season so far.

Raegan Rembert was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6.2 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Wray, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Bryan, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Maiden back to even at 4-4. As for Pine Lake Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.

Maiden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Lincolnton on the 21st. As for Pine Lake Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 16-1 victory against Corvian Community on the 21st.
