Football Game Preview: Riverside vs. Leland

Leland have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Riverside at 7:00 PM. Leland don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

The struggle was real when Leland and Coahoma County clashed last Friday, but Leland ultimately edged out the opposition 28-26. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.

Meanwhile, Riverside suffered a grim 0-28 defeat to McAdams.

Leland's win lifted them to 3-6 while Riverside's defeat dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Leland's success rolls on or if Riverside are able to steal their positive momentum.
