Volleyball Game Preview: Tocoi Creek Toros vs. Ponte Vedra Sharks

The Tocoi Creek Toros will head out on the road to take on the Ponte Vedra Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tocoi Creek will be strutting in after a win while Ponte Vedra will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Tocoi Creek made easy work of Menendez and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Toros in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Tocoi Creek never let Menendez on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Ponte Vedra came up short against St. Augustine on Thursday and fell 3-1. The loss put an end to the Sharks' undefeated start to the season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Tocoi Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Ponte Vedra, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Tocoi Creek couldn't quite get it done against Ponte Vedra in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Tocoi Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
