Softball Game Preview: Mott Corsairs vs. Walled Lake Central Vikings

Mott hasn't had much luck against Walled Lake Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Corsairs will take on the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Mott has given up an average of 14 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mott is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to Lutheran Northwest. That's two games in a row now that the Corsairs have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Walled Lake Central might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Churchill who claimed the real prize. The Vikings came up short against the Chargers, falling 15-5.

Izabel Mehta was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Bella Spellman also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Walled Lake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mott, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Mott might still be hurting after the 22-7 defeat they got from Walled Lake Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Corsairs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
