Baseball Game Preview: Waccamaw Warriors vs. Dillon Wildcats

Waccamaw has gone a perfect 10-0 against Dillon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will host the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Waccamaw's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Dillon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Waccamaw took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Johnsonville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Flashes 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Bayden Stacy looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Evan Barnett, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Corrin Green was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Dillon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to Waccamaw.

Waccamaw's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Dillon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
