Basketball Game Preview: Lewisburg Patriots vs. Bayou Academy Colts

The Lewisburg Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the Bayou Academy Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lewisburg has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 27.

Last Tuesday, Lewisburg came up short against Horn Lake and fell 50-37.

Meanwhile, it looked like the Kentucky Derby when Bayou Academy took on Pillow Academy on Monday. Bayou Academy lost 53-32 to Pillow Academy. The Colts have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Bayou Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Lewisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-24.

Lewisburg and Bayou Academy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but Lewisburg came up empty-handed after a 52-51 loss. Can Lewisburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
