Baseball Game Preview: Twin Cedars Sabers vs. Murray Mustangs

Twin Cedars has gone 8-1-1 against Murray recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sabers will face off against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Twin Cedars has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Twin Cedars lost 15-6 to Chariton on Tuesday. The Sabers haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 15, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Murray's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Twin Cedars, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Twin Cedars took their win against Murray in their previous meeting back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Sabers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
