Recap: Foran Lions vs. Hand Tigers

The Foran Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season. They beat Hand on Tuesday by the very same score they won with last week: 64-41. Winning may never get old, but Foran sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Foran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Faith Doyle led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six steals and five assists. The contest was Doyle's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Ava Deitelbaum was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Foran's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Hand, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-7 record last season and are now at 1-4.

Foran won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wright Tech at 4:30 p.m. on January 3rd. As for Hand, they will head out on the road to face off against Guilford at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Guilford is ranked 102nd, while Hand is ranked 108th).
