Softball Recap: Silver Bluff Takes a Loss

Silver Bluff extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 7-6 in the process. They came up short against the Fox Creek Predators, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Fox Creek, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5. Considering they have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Fox Creek's part, Jasmine Grant was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave Grant a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Grant, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Silver Bluff and Fox Creek will both be playing Newberry the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Predators will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
