Softball Recap: Gustine Takes a Loss

Gustine lost to Denair back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Reds lost 20-10 to the Coyotes. The Reds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leilah Fara stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaclynn Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Gustine's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Denair, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gustine will head out to square off against Mariposa County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Grizzlies will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Denair, they are taking a road trip to face off against Le Grand at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
