Basketball Game Preview: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Staunton Storm

Waynesboro hasn't had much luck against Staunton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Waynesboro Little Giants will head out on the road to face off against the Staunton Storm at 7:30 p.m.

Waynesboro is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They fell 60-52 to Fluvanna County.

Meanwhile, Staunton waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 87-72 victory over the Indians. The Storm's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Staunton's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Waynesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Waynesboro was taken down by Staunton 65-23 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Waynesboro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
