Baseball Game Preview: Southern Columbia Area Tigers vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs

The Southern Columbia Area Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Tri-Valley Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Monday, Southern Columbia Area got the win against Loyalsock Township by a conclusive 9-2.

Caden Hopper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kole Myers, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Panther Valley.

Southern Columbia Area has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-Valley, their record now sits at 11-2-1.
