Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy fell victim to South and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Kennedy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Ruiz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Kennedy is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for South, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will take on West in a tournament on Saturday. Kennedy is facing West at the right time seeing as West is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for South, they will be taking part in a tournament against Independence at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
