Soccer Recap: Suwannee Comes Up Short

Suwannee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 4-2 to the Santa Fe Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in November of 2024.

Jose Gomez-Trujillo wasn't going to let Santa Fe walk away unscathed as he scored both of Suwannee's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Suwannee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15-1. As for Santa Fe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suwannee will welcome St. John Paul II at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Santa Fe, they will challenge Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
