St. Ignatius has gone a perfect 5-0 against Medina recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Battling Bees at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

St. Ignatius is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Jackson, who was ranked eighth at the time (St. Ignatius was ranked third). The Wildcats blew past the Polar Bears 3-0 on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Polar Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The win didn't come easy: Jackson scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Medina waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Medina took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-10.

Medina now has a winning record of 6-5. As for St. Ignatius, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Everything went St. Ignatius' way against Medina in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as St. Ignatius made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
