Football Recap: Garfield County Piles Up the Points Against Powder River County + How To Watch

Garfield County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Powder River County Hawks 59-12. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Hawks are ranked 61st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Garfield County's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Powder River County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garfield County will welcome Lambert/Richey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the R&L Fusion have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Powder River County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Froid/Medicine Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Redhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
