Soccer Recap: Goleman Comes Up Short

Goleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Miami Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Pioneers are ranked 121st).

Goleman's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for North Miami, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goleman will take on Braddock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Miami, they will challenge North Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
