Basketball Recap: Big Horn Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Bridger Doke and Cruz Hernandez

Big Horn lost against Sundance back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Big Horn Rams lost to the Sundance Bulldogs at home by a 56-40 margin. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Big Horn's loss came despite strong showings from Cruz Hernandez and Bridger Doke. Hernandez went 8-for-18 on his way to 17 points and five boards, while Doke almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hernandez a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Gray, who posted seven points.

Even though they lost, Big Horn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Big Horn's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Sundance, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Big Horn has already played their next contest (against Moorcroft), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sundance also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Wright.
