Riverhead entered their tilt with Central Islip on Friday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Musketeers 18-2. Considering the Blue Waves have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverhead's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Central Islip, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Looking ahead, Riverhead will head out on the road to challenge William Floyd at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Islip, they will welcome Hampton Bays at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
