Volleyball Recap: Wade Hampton Generals vs. Gaffney Indians
After flying high against Eastside last Tuesday, Wade Hampton came back down to earth. The Wade Hampton Generals fell just short of the Gaffney Indians by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Wade Hampton took Gaffney into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 23-25, 24-26, 15-4.
Wade Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Gaffney, they moved to 8-16 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.
Wade Hampton will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gaffney, they will venture away from home to square off against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
