Basketball Game Preview: Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons vs. Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks

The Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons will square off against the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, everything went Aplington-Parkersburg's way against Union as Aplington-Parkersburg made off with a 52-32 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Waverly-Shell Rock waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 51-38 win over the Cyclones.

Waverly-Shell Rock's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
