Florence is 8-2 against Austin since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Black Bears at 7:00 p.m. Florence's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Florence is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since March 8. They and East Limestone finished up their game with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Austin fell victim to James Clemens and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Jets. While losing is never fun, Austin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while James Clemens are ranked third).

Florence's draw gives them a new season record of 6-5-3. As for Austin, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14.

Florence took their victory against Austin when the teams last played on April 1st by a conclusive 5-0 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Black Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
