Basketball Recap: Esperanza Comes Up Short

Esperanza suffered their closest loss since January 28, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of the Troy Warriors by a score of 75-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Aztecs still had to take the loss.

Esperanza's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 20-3. As for Troy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Esperanza will challenge Brea Olinda at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aztecs will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Troy, they will welcome Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
