Softball Game Preview: Stuarts Draft Cougars vs. Wilson Memorial Green Hornets

The Stuarts Draft Cougars will challenge the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuarts Draft is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Stuarts Draft is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Defiance just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 10-9.

Addyson Dameron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Mason, who went 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wilson Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Turner Ashby, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Green Hornets have suffered since May 14, 2024.

Wilson Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Stuarts Draft, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.
