Niles and Vicksburg are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2023, but not for long. The Vikings will challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Niles is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since September 18th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Mishawaka. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Niles was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mishawaka's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-19.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Vicksburg fell just short of Otsego by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Vicksburg sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-8.

Niles will have to keep a close watch on Jenna Schramer and Livia Kline, a pair of players who had a big impact on Vicksburg's prior game. Schramer had 28 digs, while Kline had 14 digs.

Niles' record now sits at 11-13. As for Vicksburg, their record is now 24-12-1.

Niles was able to grind out a solid victory over Vicksburg in their previous matchup back in August, winning 2-0. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
