Coventry extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Ava Burkhart. The Comets walked away with a 3-1 win over the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish on Wednesday for which the team can thank Burkhart, who had 28 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Coventry was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Coventry's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coventry has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Norton on the 9th. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Elyria Catholic on the 11th.
