Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Victory Christian Academy Storm were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 54-53 to The Villages Charter Buffalo. The game marked the Storm's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Herly Brutus was his usual excellent self, shooting 67% from the field to rack up 17 points along with five boards and four steals for The Villages Charter. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Thompson, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Victory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for The Villages Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Victory Christian Academy will challenge Santa Fe Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Villages Charter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-56 win against Fleming Island on the 6th.
