Baseball Recap: Belpre Takes a Loss

Belpre fell victim to Southern and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 23-0 to the Tornadoes. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost five in a row.

Belpre's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Southern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Belpre will venture away from home to square off against Waterford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern, they will head out to take on Berne Union at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Tornadoes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
