Soccer Game Preview: Glen Allen vs. Deep Run

Glen Allen hasn't had much luck against Deep Run recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Glen Allen is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Hermitage. While losing is never fun, Glen Allen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Hermitage are ranked 83rd).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Deep Run challenged J.R. Tucker on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Deep Run's draw makes their record 2-4-4 this season. As for Glen Allen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1.

Glen Allen might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Deep Run when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
