Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Mayfield's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mayfield can now relate to. They came up short against the Buckeye Bucks on Tuesday, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since April 21st.

With the defeat, Mayfield broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-17. As for Buckeye, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Mayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buckeye, they will square off against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Bucks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
