Basketball Recap: Timberline Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Timberline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Preston Indians by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by just one point.

Timberline has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Preston, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timberline and Kuna will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Timberline has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. Preston will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
