Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Thomasville Bulldogs 60-25. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Syrupmakers of the 56-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Thomasville was led to victory by Harmony Bryant and Jayla Brooks. Bryant almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards, while Brooks went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. With that strong performance, Brooks is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Naijah Thurman, who posted nine points in addition to five boards and three steals.
