Basketball Recap: Glenn Bobcats vs. Parkland Mustangs
After flying high against Thomasville on Friday, Glenn came back down to earth. The Bobcats fell 42-37 to the Parkland Mustangs on Saturday. The Bobcats lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-28 score last time.
Glenn's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marta Rubio, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Laneigh Scales, who earned seven points in addition to ten boards and four blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taniya Eldridge, who shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Janel Carter, who put up ten points and six steals.
Glenn now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Parkland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
