Softball Recap: Harlem Huskies vs. McHenry Warriors
After losing to McHenry the last time they met, Harlem decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies walked away with a 9-6 win over the Warriors on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.
Rylie Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. Those hits were her first of the season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Burbach, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Winters, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Harlem was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
