Basketball Recap: Solomon Piles Up the Points Against Wakefield

Solomon won against Peabody-Burns last Tuesday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Solomon Gorillas blew past the Wakefield Bombers 69-22. The win continues a trend for the Gorillas in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now won six in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Wakefield lost, don't look at Kingsley Smith. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-12 to rack up 10 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Uken, who posted two points.

Solomon's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Wakefield, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17.

Solomon has already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Centre on the 17th. As for Wakefield, they will square off against Flint Hills Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakefield is facing Flint Hills Christian at the right time seeing as Flint Hills Christian is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
