Pearce was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Irving on Thursday. The Mustangs claimed a resounding 48-0 win over the Tigers. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Pearce to victory were Colton Waddle and Cole Morgan. Waddle threw for 223 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, while Morgan rushed for 99 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pearce was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Irving only rushed for 44.

Pearce's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Irving, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
