Temecula Valley and Murrieta Valley are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2021, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Temecula Valley and seven for Murrieta Valley.

Last Wednesday, Temecula Valley came up short against Great Oak and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-27, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Murrieta Valley also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Chaparral by a score of 3-1.

Murrieta Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-16, 25-22, 26-24.

Murrieta Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Temecula Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything went Temecula Valley's way against Murrieta Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Temecula Valley made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Golden Bears repeat their success, or do the Nighthawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
