Softball Recap: Alexander Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Alexander's offense. They came up short against the Oakfield-Alabama Hornets on Friday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Alexander saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melanie Bump, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oakfield-Alabama, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Alexander will square off against Batavia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oakfield-Alabama, they will challenge Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
