Baseball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley on Tuesday, Cimarron-Memorial came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-14 back in March.

Cayden Cavallone was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Cimarron-Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-9.

Looking ahead, Cimarron-Memorial will host Sports Leadership & Management at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will head out on the road to face off against Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 3:30 p.m. on May 1.
