Baseball Recap: Kanab Comes Up Short

Kanab was the 3-1 winner over Enterprise when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Kanab fell just short of Enterprise by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Kanab got a good showing from Kyan Lyman, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Lyman also put up six hits, which were his first of the season.

At the plate, Kanab saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kash Kabonic, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Kanab's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Enterprise, their record is now 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kanab will head out to take on Parowan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kanab is facing Parowan at the right time seeing as Parowan is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Enterprise, they will venture away from home to face off against Milford at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Enterprise's pitchers better be ready for this one: Milford has averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
