Cairo-Durham's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rensselaer Rams. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Cairo-Durham was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21, 25-17.

Ava Zeun paced Cairo-Durham's offense, picking up six kills. Zeun got some help from Gianna Lendin and her 15 assists. Zeun was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Cairo-Durham's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Rensselaer, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Cairo-Durham has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk on the 2nd. Rensselaer has also already played their next contest (against Greenville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
