Baseball Game Preview: Newberg Tigers vs. Forest Grove Vikings

For the second straight game, Newberg will face off against Forest Grove. The Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Newberg's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Forest Grove's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Newberg is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Forest Grove just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Judah Campos was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Forest Grove's win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-16. As for Newberg, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6.
