Basketball Recap: Ardrey Kell Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Ardrey Kell won the last time they faced Hough, and Imani Shelton did her part to make sure it happened again. The Ardrey Kell Knights walked away with a 55-42 win over the Hough Huskies on Monday thanks in part to Shelton, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ardrey Kell's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Layla Mapp, who posted six points along with eight assists and eight boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists.

Ardrey Kell is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Hough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Ardrey Kell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-31 victory against Berry on the 3rd. As for Hough, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-21 win against West Mecklenburg on the 3rd.
