It was a good run, but Xavier unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Branford Hornets. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Falcons haven't been shut out since back in April.

Xavier's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Branford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

While Xavier had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
