Volleyball Recap: Liberty Falls Despite Big Games from Jade Acklin and Kinsey Shoup

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the West Plains Zizzers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Zizzers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 14-25, 25-18.

Kinsey Shoup and Jade Acklin certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Shoup had 39 digs and one assist, while Acklin had 17 digs and two aces.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 15-8-4. As for West Plains, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4-1.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Poplar Bluff on the 7th. As for West Plains, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Marshfield on the 7th.
